3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division

Reactived April, 2007
June 2008, deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom - Afghanistan
After being inactivated in March 2005, the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team reactivated in a ceremony April 19, 2007 on Cooper Field at Fort Hood, Texas.
Upon redeployment, the brigade will return to Ft. Knox, KY.
