COL Bryan M. Harris

First Infantry Division 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team Commander

COL Bryan Harris grew up in North College Hill in southwest Ohio and entered the Army on 30 May 1998 as an Armor Officer.  He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a degree in Management. 

COL Harris’ assignments include Tank Platoon Leader, 2nd Battalion, 37th Armor (Iron Dukes), 1st ABCT, 1st AD at Friedberg, Germany; Company Commander in the 11th ACR (Blackhorse) and Battalion S3/XO Trainer (Scorpion Team) at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA; Brigade S3 and XO in 1st Squadron, 13th Cavalry (Warhorse) at 3rd IBCT, 1st AD at Fort Bliss, TX; MAJ/LTC Career Manager in OPMD, HRC at Fort Knox, KY; Commander, 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor (Dreadnaughts), 1st ABCT, 1st ID at Fort Riley, KS and the Armor Enlisted Branch Chief at HRC.  He recently served as the Operations Division Chief, EPMD, HRC.  
 
COL Harris has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom and to the Republic of Korea under the rotational brigade concept.  He is a graduate of the Naval War College and the Air War College.
 
COL Harris and his wife Jackie have 6 year old twins, Jason and Isabelle.
