COL Bryan Harris grew up in North College Hill in southwest Ohio and entered the Army on 30 May 1998 as an Armor Officer. He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a degree in Management.

COL Harris has deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom and to the Republic of Korea under the rotational brigade concept. He is a graduate of the Naval War College and the Air War College.
COL Harris and his wife Jackie have 6 year old twins, Jason and Isabelle.
