CSM Adam R. Bezanson

First Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade Command Sergeant Major

Command Sergeant Major Adam R. Bezanson is a native of Helena, Montana and he enlisted in the Army in August 2002 from Tucson, Arizona. CSM Bezanson attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia where he was awarded the MOS of 92G. CSM Bezanson’s stateside assignments include HHC 1-505 Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR), Echo Company, 1-505 PIR, Golf Company, 1-319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment (AFAR), Fort Liberty, North Carolina, HHC, Special Troops Battalion, I Corps, Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), Washington, Joint Staff, Washington D.C.. Group Support Battalion (GSB), 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), United States Army Sergeant Major Academy, Fort Bliss, TX; 3D GSB, 3D Special Forces Group (Airborne). His overseas assignments are United States Forces Korea, Yongsan, Republic of Korea and USAREUR-AF in Wiesbaden, Germany. He has deployed to Iraq three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Afghanistan twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

CSM Bezanson's military education include the Basic Airborne Course, the Basic Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course (Distinguished Honors), Enlisted Aide Training Course, Support Operations Phase II, Food Service Management (Distinguished Honors), Jumpmaster Course, Combatives Level I and II, the Company Commander/1SG Pre-Command Course, the Sergeant Major Course, Battalion Pre-Command Course, CSM Development Program, and the ARSOF Pre-Command Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ashford University in Organizational Management and a Master of Science in Business Management. CSM Bezanson’s Awards and Decorations include the Distinguished Meritorious Service Medal (3rd award), the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd award), the Army Commendation Medal (3rd award), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement, the Combat Action Badge, the Senior Parachutist Badge, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge.

CSM Bezanson is married to the Mrs. Jessica Bezanson of Rapid City, MI and has two daughters named Allision and Lillian.
