COL Jabari Miller

Deputy Commanding Officer - Maneuver

Colonel Jabari M. Miller is a Baltimore City native and graduate from the United States Military Academy where he commissioned as an Armor officer in 1997.  Since then, he has proudly served in and led Light, Stryker, and Mechanized/Armor formations. 
 
COL Miller served as a lieutenant in 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment and 4th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment as a tank platoon leader and executive officer. After completion of the Armor Officer Advance Course, COL Miller commanded Alpha Company and Headquarters and Headquarters Company in 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment when it was a part of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division in Schweinfurt, Germany.
 
COL Miller’s staff assignments include Executive Officer to the Commander, United States Forces Korea, Military Assistant to the Secretary of the Army, Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commanding General, Forces Command, Brigade Executive Officer for 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division, Battalion Executive Officer for 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, and Brigade S1 for 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
 
COL Miller commanded 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment (“Strykehorse”) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He later commanded the 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division (“Bulldogs”) at Fort Bliss, Texas. Following that he served at the J35 for United States Forces Korea.
 
His most recent assignment was as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Brookings Institution as a part of the Army War College’s Senior Fellows program.
 
COL Miller holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Military Art and Science from the U.S. Army’s Command and General Staff College, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National War College. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne and Air Assault Schools.
 
COL Miller is married to Christine, and they have two adult children, Akilah and Xavier.
