Over the last month, rotational and permanent units across Europe have been conducting competitions in hopes of earning a spot to compete at the V Corps' Ehlers Cup. Walter Ehlers was a member of the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1ID who earned the Medal of Honor on 9 June 1944. The competition was a 3-day event testing Soldiers’ physical prowess, technical expertise, attention to detail, and general Soldier knowledge at a board. Today, SSG Chase Dixon and 1LT Trevor Hallock, both from 1-18 Infantry, 1ID won the V Corps Ehlers Cup Competition. SPC Williams, also from 1-18 IN finished second in the Soldiers’ competition.
Congrats to our Big Red One Soldiers!
